FARC training ETA

The Spanish terrorist group, ETA, received training from the FARC, according to “The FARC Files: Venezuela, Ecuador and the Secret Archive of ‘Raúl Reyes,’” based on archives found on the computers of the diseased FARC leader.

The training, which concentrated on explosives, was held in Venezuela between July and August 2003. The two also shared plans for assasinations of people abroad. Their relationship seems to have been pragmatic though they also share some common ideology. ETA’s rep in Caracas, Arturo Cubillas Fontán, was in close contact with FARC head Rodrigo Granda.
