Europe’s cocaine use has spiked, and cocaine use in Latin America — particularly among wealthier nations and Central American drug routes — is on the rise. The trend seems to be that as people get richer, their cocaine use begins or becomes a habit.

The International Narcotics Control Board said a growing threat is the use of illegal Internet pharmacies that sell illicit drugs to young people using social media. The online pharmacies put a facade they are legal because they sell prescription medicines, and meanwhile, they smuggle the illegal drugs.
