Some very upsetting images of child soldiers in Colombia.

Warning: The following video contains very upsetting images of child soldiers in Colombia. There are no words to express the young faces found on the battlefield. (I do not understand, however, why the press who filmed it did not help the young boy right away.)

Article 58 of the FARC states: “Any youth who is 15 years old is able to carry an arm.”

Twelve years old is the average age of recruitment into the FARC.

How long can this go on for?

What can we do stop it?

Will there be justice?

  1. this is so sad 😦 my heart goes out to these kids!

    • It is truly devastating. Do you think a child who has lived through this can ever again feel safe in the world? Is there enough therapy for him to regain a healthy and productive life? Just a few of the questions that run through my mind when I see these images and hear the stories of child soldiers.

      • Yeah, I always think about the things they will never be able to “un-see” It has to just ruin their lives.

      • And what does to a society, having lived in a continuos war for 40+ years.
